A bot named "Launchpad Janitor" linked a branch called "lp:~optimisme /pantheon-files/fix-998555" to this bug. Having looked at the branch, it appears to be a branch intended for another project, where they mistyped the bug number and it accidentally matched this one.

Mahara just says "You have no profile pictures. Upload one". It would be good to be able to select the remote avatar to be displayed if that is possible.
