This is fixed in the currently supported stable releases of Mahara.
Please update to the latest stable release within your version of
Mahara.

Bug description:
There is a typo on the Page Layout screen in Mahara 1.8.1 and earlier
(also on 1.5.1).
On the Page Layout screen, the following text is displayed:
Select how you would like the columns in your page to be layed out.
This text should read:
Select how you would like the columns in your page to be laid out.
