Currently you are able to "invite" users in bulk but they then either need to login and approve the registration it seems or the admin needs to visit each user profile page individually and approve. For purposes of development/testing and general administration it would be awesome if the same admins could manage this without that level of effort. Further to this it might also be nice to manage whether the emails that are sent out with add/approval of memberships should be sent. "Send email notification of membership" checkbox?
