This wishlist item is still open. However, another one mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1034382/comments/9 has been implemented: Block titles are now not linked anymore, but have a little icon next to the title that would take a user to the details page. That way, all titles are displayed in the same color and when the retractable function is enabled, it allows users to click the title to retract the block and expand it while the little page with a magnifying glass icon takes a user to the details page.

Having an option to hide this would improve the look of the displayed page. Attached image shows an example of how the filename links clutter a video-rich page.
