On bug #1034400 Gordon mentioned something similar: "When creating pages in groups in Mahara 1.4, the only option for adding recent forum posts to a group page is to capture posts from all recent discussions within the group regardless of which forum they are posted in. This would be much more useful if each page had the option to display either most recent posts (as current) or select from a specified discussion forum within the group - allowing a copy of discussions relating to that page to be displayed."
