Hello Wen-Chang,

Thank you for your report and the patch. Can you please take a look at
the latest item in regards to graphs in review:
https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/4941/ and see if that solves the problem?
We are in the process of upgrading the graphing engine so it can work on
newer versions of Linux and also looks nicer. Maybe your problems has
been resolved as well?

Thank you
Kristina

Title:
  Graph of statistics menu doesn't gracefully handle Asian fonts

Status in Mahara:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Graph of statistics menu doesn't gracefully handle Asian fonts

  The font of graph is Vera that not support Chinese, Japan and Korea
  characters.

  GNU Unifont is part of the GNU Project. This page contains the latest
  release of GNU

  Unifont, with glyphs for every printable code point in the Unicode 7.0
  Basic Multilingual

  Plane (BMP).

  GNU Unifont can be free download in http://unifoundry.com.

  Suggest to copy unifont.ttf file to /lib/fonts.

  In  /lib/reistration.php,  likes

      $Font =& $Graph->addNew('font', 'Vera');

  can change to

      $Font =& $Graph->addNew('font',
  get_config('libroot').'fonts/unifont.ttf');
