The best way would be to change the: Search for... Groups
into Search for ... My Groups Search for ... All Groups and add Search for ... Institutions So that we don't need to 'Groups' and 'Institutions' sections in that dropdown It would end up looking like: Search for... What would be better is if the 'Institutions' and 'Groups' options worked similar to the 'Find friends' option where you are given a second select2/dropdown after making the first selection.
