This was fixed at some point. I can't replicate it in the latest master.

Using:
Mahara version 1.9.1 (2014032707) with french language pack
PostgreSQL 9.3.4
Windows 2012 R2 with Apache 2.4.9
In the Site Administration / Users / Search, doing a search in english
return the users as expected. However, doing the same search (or any)
with French language active, Mahara hangs on message "Chargement..."
(Loading...) at the top-center of the screen after clicking Search
button and don't give any result. No error are displayed in PHP error
log nor in the firebug console.
