keyboard navigation options not working in FF / Chrome

Bug description:
We have a file called htdocs/js/keyboardNavigation.js that is meant
to allow one to navigate to certain sections of the site via keyboard.
But is not currently working for FF / Chrome (and probably other
browsers as well)
