I propose we remove the 'Gender' field from the Mahara résumé entirely.
It's not a field that should be in a modern CV, and I don't think we
would even have to think about keeping the data or transforming this
field into a custom profile field. Yes, it is an optional field, but it
is still displayed in the form.
Instead, we should include pronouns. See the wishlist item at bug
#1950109.
