Hello François, Hello Hugh, it is right, probably belongs the error to the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/795589. The email system in my mahara-installation is not working right now. For example I can create a forum-post and replying to a post created by a normal user. I and they can receive the messages but these messages are not sent away by email.
I could reproduce the error with a firefox browser (4.0.1) under Windows XP and Firefox (3.0.6) and Epiphany under linux (debian lenny). I have requested und removed a "friend" (the admin and a normal user) as a normal user and could reproduce the error as well. The email addresses of all users are correct and I'm able to send manually an email to those addresses. The result was: - that the request/add and the removal of a friend was successful but - a white screen was shown in the browser & a error-output was caused in the log-files (see the attachment). As the admin of mahra-installation the request and remove of a friend works fine & without any errors.
