I agree with this idea, but it's not so easy for us to do it quickly.
'parentlanguage' is a configuration setting that needs to go somewhere
associated with the language pack, but doesn't really need to be a
translatable string inside the language pack. We'd have to find some
other way of storing it. I also have a feeling some of the other
strings above exist so that they can be overridden by custom language
packs, or local site customisations. It's not ideal, and I agree it
would be better to find another way to do it but we'd need to be careful
before rushing into it.
