 the assert was misleading, I removed it. The message is, of course,
completely malformed: it doesn't have MIME-Version (but has other MIME
headers such as Content-XXX!) and it includes NUL ('\0') bytes in a Base64
encoded body which is a complete aberration. But nothing is corrupted, it's
just some stupid old assert left there from a long, long time ago (i.e. I
don't even know/remember any more why Karsten had put it there).

 In any case, you should be able to continue after getting this assert
without any problems - and you won't get it any more at all with the latest
cvs.
