Let me answer my own question: nothing because Outlook translates the "Re" string to the national language and I have strong doubts that MS is going to change this user-friendly feature just because it goes against the standard. So, on the contrary, IMHO it would be nice to handle more reply prefixes (i.e. for the common European languages)... Or maybe just treat any ^..?(\[\d+\]|\(\d+\)): RE as the reply marker?
