It's quite possible: the Frankenstein messages have correct headers and
the body of a previous mail, while the problem I found is that some
message body is not retrieved.

I discovered the problem because I was lucky enough to just have two
messages to download from my POP server, and the second one (which would
not get its body downloaded) was much smaller than the previous one.
This leaded to a crash because M would try to look for a body that has
a negative size (the headers of the first message were bigger than the
total second message).

I guess that the Frankenstein ones are messages that were thought to
have a positive body size, which would be fetched from the previously
downloaded message.

I get one from time to time. I was quite happy that I have a POP server
on my machine that saves messages, in some cases.

I thought I had found something, but I did not get any result at this
time.
