 I don't think that just copying the libraries like this is going to work.
But then Mahogany doesn't require openssl anyhow -- it uses it if it's
available but still works (without SSL support, of course) if it isn't.

 I think the best (and also the simplest, really) would be for you to
recompile Mahogany from source yourself. Just get the .tar.gz, unpack it,
type "configure && make && make install" and you should have a working copy
of Mahogany on your system. The only prerequisite is wxGTK 2.4.0+ but you
should be able to find an RPM (you need wxGTK-devel, not just wxGTK).
Otherwise you can build it yourself already using exactly the same
incantation.
