[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-31 17:07 ------- First of all, please disregard the previous reply, I accidentally mistyped it into a wrong bug report, sorry. Second, I don't think Mahogany has problem with CRAM-MD5 but it is quite possible that the server is buggy. Using at AUTH PLAIN part of the dialog, you can see that it doesn't implement the PLAIN method correctly: the PLAIN "challenge" must be "VXNlcm5hbWU6Cg==" (base64-encoded "Username:") and not empty. Seeing this and knowing how common are bad CRAM-MD5 implementations, I have good reasons to think that it gets it wrong too. If you can provide any information contrary to this or a way to test it, please reopen the bug. Otherwise I can only advise you to disable *both* PLAIN and CRAM-MD5 auth methods (this is possible in the newest M version in the network page). ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ValueWeb: Dedicated Hosting for just $79/mo with 500 GB of bandwidth!
