When you say that you don't see any effect, you mean that the message is still
downloaded, right? If the message is in the POP3 folder and you go there and
view it, you are asked whether you want to download it (at least I am here...).

There are 2 other places where the size restriction makes sense:

a) if the folder has "collect all new mail" option on
b) if there any filters for this folder

For (b) I don't want to add any size checks because it is trivial to do it using
the filters themselves ("move msg somewhere if size < something"). For (a) it
might make sense but it could be awkward because you could have msg boxes
popping up as a result of a background mail check... So I guess it would be
better to have another option in the "new mail" page: "max size of msg to collect".

What do you think?
