It also contains a space inside QP data which is illegal as well. I'd like to know where did it come from, i.e. how did Mahogany generate it. Can you find a reproducible example? I've just tried some subjects with 8bit chars and they work ok... Note that you don't have to send message to actually find out what is it going to be encoded like, you can just do "Compose|Preview...".
