At least the list control in the explorer doesn't behave like this. Still, whatever is the best solution, I think it would be nice to do what I proposed, i.e. show the next few messages at least when opening the folder. If a function to do it is added to wxFolderListCtrl, then it could be also called from GoToNextUnread() and maybe from other places in the future.
