 I think the problem might be with your swig version so if you're
interested in really fixing it, it would be interesting to know which
version is it and whether configure had detected it.

 Otherwise you may rerun configure with --disable-python argument and then
it should build ok -- but you won't have embedded Python support, of
course. If you're not interested in using it yourself, it's not a big deal
however.
