Looking at the code the only scenario in which this can happen is when all of the following conditions are true: 1. you're changing some important setting (e.g. not a colour or something trivial like this) 2. you had previously disabled the msg box asking you whether you want to test the setup after such changes on "Yes", so it is always tested without even asking you 3. the test fails in some strange silent way To check if this is what really happens, please go to the "reenable msg boxes" button on the last page of the options dialog and check if you have "propose to test new settings after changing any important ones" line in it and reenable it if so. If it's not this the only way I see is to debug the problem is for me to make a special M version just for you. It would be simpler if you could debug it yourself (I'd ask you to check some things) but I assume you don't have Visual Studio .Net, do you? I don't see this one neither :-( Please try enabling "debug log to the file" and check if theer is anything interesting at the end of the debug log when this happens.
