I implemented both dropping files (e.g. from an Explorer window) and dropping
messages (from a folder in M). They have to be dropped onto the part of the
composer window that does *not* contain the text of the message itself (this
part with the text of the message accepts drops of text, to be inserted in the
composer).
Note that my previous comment about the composer window being overlapped is moot
(under Windows XP at least), as the window pops up if you hold the mouse on its
icon in the Task Bar while dragging something.
