IMHO it's impossible to disable 2.6 compatibility (btw, why do you want it? 2.7 was just recently branched, and you already want to disable 2.6 compatibility?!) while keeping 2.4 compatibility, as the code in 2.4 compatible sections might use 2.6 compatible one. You can do the other way around - disable 2.4 and enable 2.6. But in this (Mahogany) case you want both enabled.
