a followup on the SSL issues:
it looks to me like what's needed are two things:
1) some modest documentation on the certificate issue
2) perhaps some improvements in mahogany's response to self signed certs or
unrecognized CAs, with options to accept them and go foward.
i'll volunteer to look at these, with the understanding that i've not coded
any C++ for 5 or 6 years, so i'm a little rusty and not familiar with the
new fangled GUI toolkits.
