I encountered the attached email on the Opera users group. I have no idea what capability such "invisible embeds" introduce, but it sounds like some people believe that suppressing them is a very good idea. i. Is this possible in Mahogany? ii. Can someone point me to good info on the issues?

When it comes to mails, in its default setting Opera's mail client blocks all externally linked content in mails and thus effectively protects you from all sneaky stuff. In case you get mails where you really want to have external content fetched, you can add the line Suppress External Embeds=0 to the [USER PREFS] section of your opera6.ini. Don't do that though unless you are really sure about what you are in for!
