What, pray tell, does that mean? How do I "open" a folder? That is exactly
the implication by the 3 asserts I get (I'm compiling the debug version):

MailFolderCC.cpp(3709): assert failed: GetMessageCount: folder is closed
MailFolderCC.cpp(3757): assert failed: DoCountMessages: folder is closed
MailFolderCC.cpp(3757): assert failed: DoCountMessages: folder is closed
