NB> NB> Or like other projects do - I have such directories in /tmp: NB> NB> kde-nerijus NB> orbit-nerijus NB> orbit-root This is probably a more tidy solution but I was lazy and just changed the file names to include the user name, i.e. now I have % ll /tmp/.m* srwx------ 1 zeitlin etudiant 0 Jul 4 16:24 /tmp/.mahogany-zeitlin.ipc -rw------- 1 zeitlin etudiant 6 Jul 4 16:24 /tmp/.mahogany-zeitlin.lock This should be ok for 2 files, of course if we start using more of them we should create a separate directory.
