 Where do they keep them? I.e. does the recipient use
IMAP or local file? In either case, is it possible to
look at the raw text of the received mail (i.e. how they
see it)?

 I'm not aware of any changes related to the outgoing mail
generation since 0.64 but I could, of course, be mistaken...
