I am using Mahogany under Win2000. Unless I missed an announcement, I have the most recent snapshot (22 June).
There are two recurrent problems that are plaguing me. I have reported these before, but I am bringing them up again since I realize that these are affecting my user experience more than any other thing. i. Mahogany does not display some messages. Typically (I think) the msg will have header information like Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 followed *immediately* by encoded text. Mahogany displays the raw encoding as text. I do not know how badly formed the email is---I am guessing the problem is the failure to specify the MIME structure of the message---but I do know other email readers are handling it and some email agents are sending such msgs. If it seems wrong to have Mahogany handle this automatically, I at least need to be able to ask Mahogany decode this text. ii. Since the last snapshot, I have now had many people tell me that Netscape responds oddly to Mahogany's mailings. (E.g., they cannot use the Reply button.) They tell me they have this experience only with my email, so I cannot assume the flaw resides in the Netscape reader. I must assume something is wrong with the headers Mahogany has been sending since the last snapshot.
