Yes, and it's not a quirk -- it's a bug. Unfortunately I have absolutely 0
time to do anything about it right now even if I think that this should be
simple to fix but hopefully I'll be able to finally look at this in the
middle-end of August. I thought there was already an entry in the bug
tracker for this but as I can't find it right now, could you please create
one?

P.S. the workaround is the same as usual: use an external editor (this
is what I do anyhow)
