but I still don't have a satisfactory solution for this. Except building
without SSL support, of course, if you don't need it... There are some
helpful comments near the end of the bug above, maybe you can follow them.

 The original SSL code in Mahogany was very smart but unfortunately it
really only ever worked with GNU tools, in particular GNU ld. I'm afraid it
would have to be reworked completely to really work everywhere :-(
