 Yes, this is indeed what it says. And it disappears so quickly because it
checks just the currently opened folder (if any) unless you have specified
that you wanted to monitor your POP3 folder. I don't know how did you
create it (was it done by the install wizard or did you do it later) but in
any case you should right click the folder in the tree, choose "Properties"
in the manu and then go to the "New Mail" page. Near the bottom you'll see
a checkbox "Monitor this folder" which you should check if you want
Mahogany to check the folder in the background -- and also when you
petrform "Check Mail" command. Note that if you don't want it to monitor it
automatically, you should simply specify a very big polling timeout.
