 Vim is really a special case -- it has options for everything ;-)
But I do think that it would be very unusual for a Windows application to
behave like this. Even although I actually like X11 behaviour more, I'm
still subconsciously expect Windows programs to not overwrite the clipboard
whenever I highlight something with the mouse.
