I'm brand new to Mahogany. The notes that accompany it say that if we find something that isn't configurable, to let you know. What I would like to configure is the directory where configuration settings are kept <gr>. Obviously, I know that something has to bootstrap the process, so I would expect a single configuration value in the Mahogany installation directory identifying where to find the rest of the configuration data. My objective is to share all mail files and setup data between Linux and Windows. I boot back and forth between them and would like to be able to read my mail from either one (on a single computer.) I'd like to end up with a directory structure something like this:
Shared Mahogany Directory on a filesystem accessible to both Windows and Linux -->Config -->Address Book -->Mail Folders After fits and starts, I figured out how to put an address book and the mail folders in a place I specify (well, mostly - I can't figure out how to relocate the New Mail folder there.) But how do I get my configuration data in the Config directory, so I don't have to redefine my email accounts under each OS? Also, where do I specify to leave mail on the server? I use POP3, and want to leave everything there until I gain confidence in Mahogany. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc.
