Hello, On Feb. 16. I reported some translation-problems with current mahogany from CVS. These seem to have been lost. (I didn't got an answer and an "cvs update" still shows the problems...)
So I opened Bug-Tracker cases for that in hope to have fixes in the upcoming 0.65. (I hope this is ok). Some problems (the second part) are quite minor. So I split the issues in two bug cases. The following msgids don't show up translated, some have additional problems: (Got Bug-Nr. 746 in the Bugtracker [The text got awfully mangled (no linebreaks) I added it a second time as attachment 746.txt]) # Doesn't get translated # The quotes are set in the source instead of in the msgid # The quotes used get crippeled on output on my linux-system #: classes/MApplication.cpp:1171 #, c-format msgid "Sent %lu messages from outbox %s." # Doesn't get translated ! #: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:196 msgid "Thread messages on &server" # Doesn't get translated ! #: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:197 msgid "Thread messages by &references only" # Doesn't get translated ! #: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:207 msgid "&Gather messages with same subject" # Doesn't get translated ! #: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:208 msgid "&Break thread when subject changes" # Doesn't get translated in the case of ADB-export #: adb/ProvPalm.cpp:281 #: adb/ProvPalm.cpp:282 msgid "PalmOS Addressbook" # first '%s' can't be translated, leading to a mixture of english and # translation (The %s is filled in by a function which just returns an english string) #: adb/AdbFrame.cpp:1753 #, c-format msgid "Really delete the %s '%s'?" "EMail", "Office", "Private" (on the Tabs in Adb) can't be translated All entries in the context-menu for the template macros don't show up translated ! In the following dialogs, strings don't show up as msgid, and thus are untranslatable: All format-names in the ADB-import-dialog don't get translated "native format" in the list of adress book formats isn't translatable ====================================================================== Some Menu entries should have an '...' appended (to show, that a confirmation or other dialog will come up) or the '...' should be removed. Also some dialog boxes miss a title. I heared of the outcome of that from a friend now (who tried to use M as newsreader but got disappointed ;-) It seems it doesn't look that good... (He promised to lend me the magazin and the CD, so I can have a look at it) - The version of the (at least windows-) program seems rather old. (Probably the 'pure' 0.64 instead of the newer version.) - It comes with the old, quite incomplete German translation. P.P.S: Thanks for mentioning the geramn translation on the first page of the WEB-page of the project !
