I do not see what the big deal is, just delete the (sic) turds as it were.
Why is there this hysteria where we have to give up our open list because an
apparent minority is offended by the presence of spam.

View your mail on the server and delete the spam before you download. If I
had to take the time to download spam before it got filtered, now that would
chap my arse, and I would be screaming about spam too. However, by zapping
it off the remote server or indeed one's own server, before it gets served
to Mahogany, seems revenge enough.

I take it Mahogany can do that.
