I just noticed that I'd forgotten to confirm my subscription so these answer
are based on reading the archives online.
- Nerijus: I didn't enable the calendar module. I didn't even know there was
one. I searched the config file and nothing was there with "Calendar" in
the name.
- Xavier: I changed the flags by manaually editing the .M/config file (I'm
on Linux). Since I can't start M, I can't use your instructions to enable
the logs. What is the name of the option in the config file? Is it ShowLog
or ShowAdb?
- Xavier: No, I don't like the option of putting the messages in a separate
folder because it breaks threading. Furthermore, I use fetchmail with
SpamAssasin to do spam-filtering.
- While I'm at it: the FAQ for fetchmail doesn't say if (how?) I can tell M
to call fetchmail instead of doing it itself directly from the POP server.
For various reasons, I want mail to be transferred on demand, not at
automatic intervals.
- MIME Handling: How do I tell M to use, for example, gnumeric to open all
application/excel attachments OR any application/octet-stream attachments
with a .xls extension?
- Attachments: is it possible to *not* have inlined attachments? I find them
highly annoying. Maybe I'm an old dog, but I always feel like attachments
should be attachments, not part of a message.
Thanks for all the answers!
