I think it may be because of the "sorting messages" info box. You can set
it to appear only if a certain amount of messages is in the folder you're
opening. The default for this is about 20, i think. This window gathers the
focus and i don't know if it's explicitly given back to the mahogany window
or maybe just the "last window".
It's not clear to me if the Windows or linux version of mahogany is used.
If it's a tunneled X Session, it's probably a misfeature of the X-Server
running on Windows.
As a short solution, set the trigger value to "0" (off).
