The problem is that a message can't be modified in the mailbox in any way except for its flags, so doing this involves creating a new message and replacing the old one with it. This means, of course, that it will never be possible for POP folders (can't add messages there) but should be possible for IMAP and local ones. As I said, I do want to do it, please open a bug for this. However first, as soon as I have _any_ free time at all, I must do a new release...
