No.  But even if it had done that I would think it a bug:
is not the proper behavior to warn that the path is bad?
Anyway, I just tested this again and the file cannot be
found under the name I gave it nor renamed to math the 
(non-existant) directory name I used anywhere on my hard 
drive.
