Essentially, if new mail arrives in an IMAP box while that
box is open in Mahogany, a crash is very likely. This has
been true for some time and remains true in the most recent
Windows snapshot.

In the past I reported this and provide links to the dmp
files:
http://www.american.edu/econ/problems/mdump.htm
Hopefully that information is useful.
Thanks for anything you can do!

If I were to guess, I'd guess its a malloc problem:
something has a different size than expected, and for
some reason this is hit when M tries to update the folder
view.

Separately:

The new crash reporting procedure is inconvenient.
1. M tries to send the report by email, but the email
   bounces.
2. Alternatively M stores the report on disk, but in
contrast with the old practice of naming the .dmp file
with the date and time the .dmp file is now put an
a directory that is named by date and time. The .dmp file
(and associated xml file) no longer have a unique name,
and the files are much less convenient to upload this
way. Please keep all the files in a single directory and
give the files the date-time-stamped names!

Thanks,
Alan
