That is the behavior I want, but it is not what I see.

OK, I do the following:
- erase the password from all subfolders and the main folder.
- close Mahogany.
- restart Mahogany.
- add a password to the IMAP folder.
- double click a subfolder.
It asks for a password.
How do I tell M to look to the parent folder?
Might there be some reason this folder does not know its parent?

This reminds me of a *separate* issue:
passwords are saved even when they should not be.

Example:
- start Mahogany.
- delete the password for the IMAP folder.
- close the dialogue, it asks if I want an empty password field, and I answer
yes.
- double click the folder.
- It asks for a password. I provide one.
- close Mahogany.
- restart Mahogany.
The password is still present.

Cheers,
Alan
