 I didn't say this. It would definitely be easier to develop a newsreader
on the basis of the existing code instead of starting from scratch, but I
didn't realize you were speaking about developing it, you're posting to the
m-user list so I naturally assumed you wanted to use it. And I honestly
told you that the news reading part of M is nowhere near the usable state
yet.

 Now if you want to develop it, it's completely different. I can point you
to a few things which clearly need to be changed for better news support if
you want, please let me know if you're interested.
