I just use Ctrl-Shift-[123] normally but why not... OTOH I thought that
maybe having a toolbar on top of the message view window (or maybe even at
its bottom?) with some common message-related functions could be better.
It could include this combobox, also some way to quickly toggle the view
filters and headers (although again it wouldn't be quicker than pressing
'h', of course). Maybe also some controls to deal with the attachments as
the UI for them is currently quite poor.

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have time for this any time soon,
I really need to finish my other work-in-progress items when I can get back
to M the next time first. But I still think adding a toolbar to message
view could be a good idea from UI point of view.

Virtualization is moving to the mainstream and overtaking non-virtualized

easier or more difficult to achieve? Read this whitepaper to separate the
two and get a better understanding.
