As you probably know by now the ASF has been accepted as a mentoring
organisation for GSoC2008.
We are currently in the stage in which "Would-be student
participants discuss application ideas with mentoring organizations"
What we need to be doing now is:
a) discussing with potential students via the normal community
channels
b) registering as a mentor on the GSoC webapp [1]
Can I also ask that you send a notification to this list telling us
the account you used to register with the webapp. This will make our
life easier when approving your request (i.e. we can easily map your
apache name to your gmail name).
Note, you do not need to have a proposal to be given access to the
mentor app, we welcome any assistance when it comes to ranking the
proposals in a few weeks.
Bertrand, I've made you an admin so you are now able to approve
applications via the mentor home [3]. I'm sure you'll figure it out,
if not you know where I am.
There is still time to add your proposals to the wiki [2].
