Great. I would be intersted in the feedback you will get.

In return I will provide some feedback of my colleagues at Neofonie. I will 
give a talk about Apache Con EU with a strong focus on Mahout, Solr and 
Hadoop tomorrow. I think I can share the slides after removing some 
internal-only content.

I would be happy with the logo as is - although some people had difficulties 
recognising the mahout as a human. But that is easy enough once one has 
explained the name.

This one seems to have come through fine. It really is similar in content to 
my talk :) On the slide on GSoC contributions you might want to mention the 
algorithms the students proposed to implement - at least for the title of the  
first proposal this is not quite obvious.
