Yes that sounds like a symptom of the last issue I fixed up. I just committed a similar fix.
Basically wherever we did... String path = parent + "/foo" and it became Path path = new Path(parent, "/foo") the "/" needs to go away. Perhaps surprisingly, in something like the above, parent gets ignored.
