No. of Attendees : 9 Details: -------- ILUG-COCHIN met at 2:00pm at the Internet Club Broadway. The meeting was kicked off with the Agenda with lengthy contribution on Security on Linux by Anand Gupta. This was followed by the discussions on how various systems can be attacked on lan & wans and how you can effectively counter it, using Linux as your OS. The various instances of attacks and how they were repulsed were explained in detail. The second half saw the Installation Demo of Debian Woody headed by Mr Balakrishnan (with many thanks) of the Indian Bank, with various attendees taking notes on configuring Debian. Newbies Shyam and Hariraj installed the system under the guidance of Mr Balakrishnan. The meeting was marathon in nature and the Installation ended at 6:30 pm.
