Gabber is the GNOME client for Jabber. If you are not aware of what jabber is then, here goes. It is a distributed, open , messaging service. Works kinda like how mail works on the internet. No central servers like msn/icq. ( no comments about yahoo coz I work for them :) . It also has support for yahoo/msn/aim/icq services. check out www.jabber.com for more details.
